Selecting the Finalists
The field for 2017 Retailer of the Year was comprised of a curated list of Australia’s top retailers, in addition to contenders whom entered through open submissions. The three pillars of in-depth research that informed the Top 20Shortlist include;
SHOPPER ENGAGEMENT:Collaborating with data partners Experian, the ARA sourced retail consumer behaviour data, analysing both in-store and online engagement.
CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE:Mystery shopping initiatives and shopper surveys by The Realise Group and Field Agent provided real-time insights into shopper experience.
RETAIL BUSINESS METRICS:Monash Business School’s ACRS Research Unit objectively evaluated Australia’s leading retailers across seven salient performance indicators.
