Asian-style quick service restaurant (QSR) brands, Noodle Box and Wokinabox, have merged under the one entity, to be known as Asian Restaurant Concepts (ARC).
ARC is now the owner of the Noodle Box and Wokinabox QSR franchise operations both nationally and internationally.
“Noodle Box and Wokinabox are market leaders in the Australian noodle-based QSR market and from today these brands will be overseen by ARC stewardship,” said CEO, Ian Martin.
Noodle Box, Australia’s largest noodle-based quick-service restaurant (QSR) franchise, acquired Wokinabox, the second largest noodle based restaurant chain, in December. ARC now has a store network of 106.
“We are focused on profitable and sustainable growth for all of our franchise partners – both here in Australia and internationally,” said Mr Martin.
“As part of our support for that growth we are pleased to announce that the Wokinabox brand has already expanded for 2016, adding two new locations to the franchise restaurant system in Gillies Plains and Bolivar in South Australia.
“Noodle Box has several new greenfield restaurants imminently launching in Queensland, and has recently opened restaurants in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with plans for more.”
Noodle Box first opened in 1996, and has 70 Australian restaurants, while Wokinabox started life in Adelaide in 2002 and has 35 restaurants.
