Meet the world’s first crowdsourced delivery company.BY James Lewis
The past few years have seen rapid change in customer demand. The response from retailers has been quite diverse. We have seen the introduction of many products, innovations and solutions to uphold customer expectations and overall, a brands reputation. The rise of crowd-sourced services such as UberEats and Deliveroo have revolutionised the way consumers eat, however none have existed to completely change the way customers shop, until now.
Instead of professional or even part-time couriers carrying out deliveries, Passel operates by having everyday people on their way home from the shops, or people working within a vicinity of a centre provide the delivery service. The company helps retailers gain more sales by providing inexpensive and convenient three-hour deliveries. Using a flexible crowd-sourcing platform, local deliveries are managed via regular people living and working in the local community.
The new service operates on weekends, public holidays and evenings – This means same day delivery every day of the year.
The company is a crowdsourced delivery service utilising a combination of location-awareness and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enable regular people to provide inexpensive on-demand deliveries.
